On September 21, nearly a hundred representatives from various running groups of the Hefei Marathon Association gathered at the Marathon Culture Museum in Xiaolingnan, Hefei, to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the association with a 5-kilometer run.

Hefei is the birthplace of marathon in China. On December 22, 1957, the gunshots of New China's first marathon test race rang out in Hefei. As an advocate of China's marathon race, Zhang Liangyou set a record for New China's first marathon with a time of 2 hours, 52 minutes and 34 seconds.

On September 13, 2014, the Hefei Marathon Association held its founding ceremony at Anhui Vocational and Technical College. Zhang Liangyou was elected as the general consultant of the Hefei Marathon Association, and his disciple Wei Pulong was elected as the president of the Hefei Marathon Association.

This is a high recognition of Hefei Qiangu and its general manager Wang Yongguang’s long-term support and promotion of long-distance running. Mr. Wang's personal love for long-distance running is not limited to the personal level. He also actively introduces this healthy lifestyle into the company culture and established the "Gaineng Running Group" to encourage and drive long-distance running enthusiasts in the company to participate in this physically and mentally beneficial activity.

On September 14, under the leadership of Mr. Wang, Qiangu Group successfully held an internal 10-kilometer running group training event in Shuxi Lake Park, Hefei High-tech Zone. This event not only strengthened communication and cooperation between teams, but also demonstrated Dry Valley’s emphasis on and support for employee health. Through such activities, not only the physical fitness of employees is improved, but also the cohesion of the team is enhanced, creating a positive working atmosphere.

As the vice-president unit, Hefei Dry Valley is expected to play a more important role in promoting the development of marathon sports in Hefei and even the wider region in the future, and contribute its own strength to promoting national fitness and building a healthy China. This is not only recognition of Hefei Dry Valley’s past efforts, but also an expectation for its future development.
