Important adjustments have been made to the scope of application of the specification and the verification requirements for in-use vehicles.A major adjustment is that the "Verification Specifications" unify the verification procedures and no longer set corresponding verification requirements for the transition period, that is, search and search based on the vehicle model. If it is included in the "Road Transport Vehicle Standard Model List", normal verification will be carried out and the verification results will be recorded; if it is not included in the "Road Transport Vehicle Standard Model List", the verification will be terminated and the applicant will be informed of the situation. This is also considering that as of now, the safety technical standards involving road transport vehicles have been fully implemented and do not involve transitional models. The "Verification Standards" adjust the scope of application, add the verification requirement of trailers, and clarify that urban buses and trams, taxis, motor vehicle driving training coaches, and ordinary freight vehicles with a total mass of 4,500 kilograms and less engaged in general cargo operations do not need to be verified. The "exemption" requirements are also clarified for the inspection of in-use vehicles, that is, in-use operating vehicles that have already obtained operating procedures are not required to undergo compliance verification due to changes in ownership transfer, registration and other procedures and the processing time does not exceed 90 days, or if the normal operating period is extended.
